An evening with Charles Dickens – 17th November 2012

Date: Saturday, 17 November 2012 – 7:00pm CELEBRATING THE BICENTENARY OF CHARLES DICKENS BIRTH The Ely Rotary Club are celebrating the bicentenary of Dickens birth by having an evening of fun with his readings and the songs sung at the time. There will be a supper taken from the cookery book written by Charles Dickens wife, Catherine, otherwise known as “Lady Maria Clutterbuck”  To set the scene, Rotarians will be in fancy dress of the period and we ask our visitors to please do likwise. Costumes can be hired or can be made by individuals themselves.
