Identifying the financial gap facing East Cambs

With local authorities across the country investigating the implications of future Government cuts, East Cambridgeshire District Council has identified it needs to find savings of £900,000 in 2015/16.

At Finance and Governance Committee, Councillors heard how the impact of reduced government grants and changes to other funding such as New Homes Bonus has left the authority needing to take steps now to ensure the Council has a long term future.
