Prehistoric Copper Mining in Britain – 21st October 2013

Date: Monday, 21 October 2013 – 8:00pm Ely and District Archaelogical Society lecture by Dr Simon Timberlake of Cambridge University Some 12 Bronze Age mines have been examined. The radiocarbon dates from the mines indicate a relatively short phase of widespread prospection dating from the very beginning of the 2nd millenium BC.
