Date:  Wednesday, 11 February 2015 – 7:30pm Ely Society – Catholics in Ely and the Fens   Dr Francis Young will be talking about the period from the reformation to the present day, although with a focus on the period before 1800.  He will be looking at the imprisonment of Catholics at Wisbech Castle and the Bishop's Palace in Ely, people from the Fens who became Catholic priests, the link between March and the Popish Plot and Catholic land ownership in the Fens in the eighteenth century.
