Next steps in place for Barton Road development

Following the approval for planning permission in August of this year, initial steps to progress the development of 11 homes on Barton Road, Ely are set to commence on the 7th November.

 

The next stage of the development will be an archaeological survey, which will identify whether there is anything of historical interest on the site.

Approved: Barton Road & Fordham facilities to stay open

East Cambridgeshire District Council (ECDC) is pleased to confirm that at the Asset Development Committee meeting on Wednesday 23rd March, the Committee approved the recommendation from Commercial Services Committee to keep both Ely’s Barton Road and Fordham’s public conveniences open.

East Cambridgeshire District Council (ECDC) is pleased to announce that positive steps have been taken in light of public feedback to retain the public conveniences at Barton Road, Ely. At the Commercial Services committee meeting on 15th March 2016, councillors voted to keep the Barton Road toilets open.
