An apple a day … or the day of the apple

The classic English apple is set to be celebrated once again at the annual Apple Festival in Ely.
 
From humble beginnings over 15 years ago, the event has now grown into one of best apple celebrations in the area.  What’s more Watergull Orchards, one of Cambridgeshire’s apple and juice producers and supporters of this event, will once again be in attendance with their impressive display of apples.

Learn how the Cromwells spent their summer holidays

This summer travel back in time to meet the characters who lived and breathed the English Civil war as part of ‘Meet the Cromwells’ in Ely.

Visitors to Oliver Cromwell’s House on Tuesdays throughout July and August can be part of two special exhibits.
