Result for the Parish of Ely – North Ward by-election

On Thursday 06 October 2016, voters in took to the polls to vote in the Parish of Ely – North Ward By-Election.

 

Polling stations nationwide opened at 7am and closed at 10pm.

The count venue was the Council Chamber, East Cambridgeshire District Council.

The turnout was announced as 16.17%. 

At 23.03pm, the Returning Officer, John Hill, declared the count totals, which are as follows: 

 

The total number of ballot paper counted was 855

The number of votes cast in favour of Edward Bengt Carlsson Browne (Labour Party) – 179

Isle of Ely Open Churches Trail – 31st July 2015

Date:  Friday, 31 July 2015 – 10:00am – 4:00pm Isle of Ely Open Churches Trail As part of Ouse Fest, there is a rare opportunity to visit four fascinating medieval churches in the ancient Isle of Ely and within the Ouse Washes Landscape area. By special arrangement, the parish churches of Coveney, Sutton, Witcham and Mepal will be open throughout the day. The trail can easily be completed by car or bike, and might even be attempted on foot by the more adventurous.
