Work has begun on planting, pruning and removing trees on Ely’s Riverside as part of plans to ensure the area remains a place to relax and enjoy.
Over the last few months, the footpath on Lavender Green has been widened and improved, new duck feeding signs have been introduced and solar lighting installed along the Riverside path to make it safer for people to walk and cycle along the area in the evenings and at night.
The tree work will see a number of old tree stumps and damaged trees removed, as well as replacement trees and flower beds being planted.
