Ely is a great place to visit at any time and especially at Christmas but now visitors and residents can support local independent shops by joining in the Ely Christmas Crawl.

Part of a national campaign and supported by Ely Traders’ Association and Cambridgeshire Chambers of Commerce, the Christmas Crawl provides an opportunity to discover the great range of independent shops we have here in Ely.

Young and old to be helped by community fund

Two charities are set to benefit from grants totalling £2,000 to help the young people get involved in the arts and people who need counselling.

At Community and Environment Sub Committee at East Cambridgeshire District Council, Members heard how funding had been agreed for the following projects from the East Cambridgeshire Community Grant Fund:
