Ground breaking Community Land Trusts are making progress

Community Land Trusts (CLTs) in East Cambridgeshire are continuing to move forward bringing together developers, landowners and residents for the good of a town and village.
 
With the recent ground breaking ceremony taking place for the Stretham and Wilburton CLT – where 50 homes, 15 of which will be affordable, are being built along with a doctor’s surgery, small business units and open space – other schemes are also progressing well.

Using money from growth to benefit communities

East Cambridgeshire District Council outlined this week how money it has received from the developers will be spent to support transport projects in the Ely and support the vitality of the city centre.

For example this year, the Sainsbury development in Ely has already brought in over £800,000 and this will enable the following projects to be started:
