Be part of developing Ely’s new park

Residents in Ely are getting the chance to have their say on how the green space which is part of the new North Ely development will look.

East Cambridgeshire District Council and Sheils Flynn are working together to develop the design and layout for the new North Ely Park through a three week consultation.

The aim is to seek the views and ideas of local people who will use the park to shape how the area will develop.

Jubilee Gardens – the eighth wonder of Ely

Ely’s Jubilee Gardens has won a prestigious Green Flag award for an unheralded eighth year in a row.
 
Opened in 2002 by Prince Phillip to mark the Queen’s Jubilee, the Gardens has become a place where young and old go to enjoy nature on the Riverside and has this year celebrated its tenth anniversary. It has again been recognised for its well-managed, high-quality green space which is so important for health and leisure activities.

Forget the rain, join in the fun this summer

Thousands of school children in East Cambridgeshire are counting down the days to their summer holidays but what can they do to fill their break?

Well fear not parents for the ‘Summer Daze’ summer holiday sports programme has been set up to arrange events for anyone aged 5 to 19 years old across the district with many activities only costing £1.

The activities cover a range of sports to ensure children and young people have something to do throughout the holiday no matter where in East Cambridgeshire they live.
