Heading the line up will be James Pearson, resident pianist and Artistic Director at Ronnie Scott’s famous Soho Jazz Club. Joining James will be other members of his Trio, plus acclaimed singer/songwriter Polly Gibbons. Date:  Saturday, 23 April 2016 – 7:30pm Bridge of Spies The Ely Amnesty group is screening this 2015 award-winning thriller, directed by Steven Spielberg. The film tells the story of lawyer James B. Donovan (Tom Hanks), who is entrusted with negotiating the release of Francis Gary Powers—a pilot whose U-2 spy plane was shot down over the Soviet Union—in exchange for Rudolf Abel (Mark Rylance), a captive Soviet KGB spy held under the custody of the United States. Duration 142 minutes. 12A.
