As Community Land Trusts (CLTs) in East Cambridgeshire continuing to move forward, the recently established Witchford CLT is now looking for land to develop.

The CLT, which was set up by residents to help house local people and deliver facilities for the benefit of the community has recently undertaken a review of the land they are know is available.

However the CLT is aware there may be other sites which could be suitable but don’t know about its availability.

Be an independent voice

Volunteers are needed to join an Independent Panel looking at how much money District Councillors receive for serving their local community while ensuring local people are not prevented from standing for election for financial reasons.

The review will take place in the autumn/winter and will involve up to five people looking at the remuneration Members receive for their time commitment and responsibilities.

The Panel must be truly independent so candidates should have no personal connection to the Council or with any of its Councillors.
