Making Planning in East Cambs easier to access

Changes have been made to the Planning Duty Service to make it easier to talk to and contact the Planning Team at East Cambridgeshire District Council.

From this week (Monday 19 January), the General Enquiries Service is now available via 01353 665555 at the following times: Monday – Thursday 8:45am – 5pm and Friday 8:45am – 4:30pm.

How to keep warm this winter

As the temperatures fall amid yellow warnings of severe weather, residents in East Cambridgeshire are being given tips to keep warm.

Bidding to increase recycling and retain weekly collections

An outline bid has been put together by East Cambridgeshire District Council to the Government for money to make it easier to recycle more of the district’s waste while keeping weekly rubbish collections.

The Department for Communities and Local Government announced a £250m scheme last year for local authorities to bid for funds to increase the quality of waste collection and make it easier to recycle.

The District Council has submitted a bid for nearly £5m to deliver the following:
