East Cambridgeshire District Council (ECDC) will be supporting a business forum organised by Sutton’s Parish Council on the 19th May 2016.

The Parish Council is working on a joined up Neighbourhood Plan to help shape important developments across Sutton and the local area. Key to this is consulting with its business community to understand their needs and future plans.

The review, conducted by councillors from across the various political parties as well as officers from the police, the District Council, Sanctuary Housing and the County Council, found that the Panels were not achieving their original aims or attracting people to attend.

Working to make Littleport’s roads safer

Residents in Littleport are making a big difference to driver behaviour in the town as the local Speedwatch campaign gains momentum.

Following a discussion on how to improve safety on Littleport’s roads at a Neighbourhood Panel meeting, a number of volunteers came forward to set up a Speedwatch group guided by officers from Cambridgeshire Constabulary.

The team of volunteers has grown and has begun to make a positive difference with the more traffic sticking to the speed limits in the town.
