A spooky recycling opportunity for East Cambridgeshire

Residents in East Cambridgeshire no longer have to worry about leftover Halloween pumpkins creating a recycling horror story thanks to the District Council teaming up Ellgia Recycling.

Normally the authority encourages people to put food waste in their green wheelie bins, however for this Halloween special pumpkin recycling bins will be located at the Council offices on Nutholt Lane in Ely.

Nearly 17000 electors risk losing their vote in Police and Crime Commissioner elections

Residents in East Cambridgeshire have been urged to make sure they don’t lose the chance to have their say in the Police and Crime Commissioner elections, taking place on Thursday 15 November.

Over the last two months, households in East Cambridgeshire will have received an annual canvass voter registration form, which must be returned to the Council Offices at The Grange, Nutholt Lane in Ely by Monday 8 October 2012.
