Jubilee Gardens – the eighth wonder of Ely

Ely’s Jubilee Gardens has won a prestigious Green Flag award for an unheralded eighth year in a row.
 
Opened in 2002 by Prince Phillip to mark the Queen’s Jubilee, the Gardens has become a place where young and old go to enjoy nature on the Riverside and has this year celebrated its tenth anniversary. It has again been recognised for its well-managed, high-quality green space which is so important for health and leisure activities.

Proudly flying the flag over the gardens

This week the team behind the continued success of the Jubilee Gardens received this year's Green Flag to be flown over the park for the rest of the year.

Opened in 2002 by Prince Phillip to mark the Queen’s Jubilee, Jubilee Gardens won it's sixth Green Flag as it was judged to be welcoming, safe and well maintained.

Ely’s Jubilee Gardens has won a prestigious Green Flag award for sixth year in a row after being highlighted as one of the best parks and green spaces in the country.

Opened in 2002 by Prince Phillip to mark the Queen’s Jubilee, Jubilee Gardens were judged to be welcoming, safe and well maintained, with the strong involvement of the local community.
