Help manage Ely’s riverside moorings

Boaters, residents and local businesses have the chance to help shape the way moorings are managed along Ely’s Riverside.  

East Cambridgeshire District Council had been working to extend the existing Mooring Byelaw which had a ‘no return for 48 hour’ clause to provide a consistent enforcement approach for visitors.

East Cambs leads the way with Community Land Trusts

An innovative approach to help local communities develop homes has led to East Cambridgeshire District Council being praised in Parliament.
 
During Community and Local Government questions, the Housing Minister, Mark Prisk highlighted the way the local authority is using Community Land Trusts in one of his parliamentary answers:
